I called My Computer Works (MCW) for assistance with my wife's computer that came up with an error that I couldn't understand. MCW Tech Tyler came to our rescue and found that our browser fire fox was the culprit. He uninstall the browser and reinstalled it. Thanks Tyler as always you do great work!

I had a problem with Microsoft trying to gain a presence on my computer. I had managed to fix it on my own by the time Matt called. He and I went over the probllem and he told me I had done exactly what I sholuld do when this happens. We determined my computer was fine. u He was very hekpful with some other sggestions and advice. The tech gave me his opinion on Cashap since a customer had a bad experience after he downloaded it for a customer. The customer then got taken for a considerable sum of money... He refused to download it which was wrong. He needs to let go of the past. Tell him not to recommend it but not to download it. It was terrible.

Thomas was extremely patient and willing to call me several times as I was out when he called the second time and not at my computer.When he called the first time I was just getting ready to walk out the door so I asked him to call me in about an hour. When he did call I was still out of the house and could not be at my computer. He was very kind when I had to ask him to call me again. Once we were finally on the problem he was very patient when my screen did not show the usual when I have called for help. While all calls for technical help are important my last call was crucial. I was formatting my novel and the margins on opposite mirrored pages weren't lining up correctly. I've used the service for several years; this is the first time I've lowered the score. The reason is not the technicians - they are always helpful and polite which is true today. My issue is getting on the schedule. You've gone from online scheduling to phone calls. OK I accept that. The missing piece is not being able to see where I am in the queue. Also putting the phone # the tech will use in the email acknowledgment would be helpful so we don't miss the call and removed from the queue.

Crystal is a gem!!! Yahoo created the problem last night with a "glitch" which made its mail unreachable. Then there was no way to fix the problem without going to their "premium" support. Crystal stuck with me (and my computer) for close to 2.5 hours trying every trick she had. Eventually we had to go to Yahoo "premium and she still stayed until the problem was fixed. She definitely deserves a HUGE raise! I have always had great service from y'all but her service was exceptional. She even set up a time with me to cancel Yahoo "premium" before they charge me for another month. Kudos to yo for having her

My original call for service was on 9/24. I didn't hear from Nate until the following morning. I asked him to call me back that evening when I was home so we could discuss things further. He called on time and said we could do a clean up for $100 but if I signed up for the "Service Plan" he would only charge $50 and would have a tech call me back in an hour or so. That didn't happen. So i rescheduled for 6:30 the following evening. That never happened either. The tech called again on the morning of 9/27 and i asked if he could call at 6:30 this evening. 45 minutes late he called and said they can't provide service for that price and said they would refund me and he said goodbye. Three frickin days for this BS. Seriously. I used to get excellent customer service from you in the past but i guess that's no longer a priority.

My computer tech Sam was so very helpful to me. He was kind professional explained things as he went along for me and solved the problems. (There were more than one problem.) It took 2 techs and Sam to finally solve it. I believe Sam is your most professional and knowledgeable tech and check me I've have dealt with many of your techs. I am suggesting you reward your excellent techs like Sam with a substanial monetary raise. I haven't a clue what he makes but $5 to $10 MORE an hour insures the fact that you will keep the great ones!! And Sam is one of those! He's the best or at least one of the best! When I contacted My Computer Works I was in the middle of being scammed by the Windows Defender Scam. I called frantically wanting help to stop the scammer from accessing all of my electronic data. I spoke with Ronnie Akins who was very informative and helpful and told me to immediately shut down my computer. Then he explained what was happening and what I need to do to stop the scammers and clean my computer and keep it safe. I appreciate all of the kindness and patience Ronnie had with me while I was in my crisis. I am happy to say my computer is now clean and there was no breach of my personal information. For two days this week Crystal has diligently helped me with transferring files from my old computer onto my new one plus passed on valuable information to future techs who may or may not be installing my new printer. I really appreciate her patience and her knowledge. I don't know yet whether the printer installation will be done locally as I have an appointment w/them late afternoon tomorrow. Who knows I might have to return to MCW for that completion after all. I need an actual "body" to SHOW me how to operate the new HP DeskJet 3755 in addition to installing it. For that reason I have run into a snag and hope to straighten it out tomorrow. I am a novice in matters tech and thus depend on your patient techs to walk me through the problems. The Tech that I spoke with solved my computer problems quickly. It is not that I am "computer literate" just that I am 73 and not computer compatible. I was given a time frame and it was kept. Something that I am not used to when trying to solve a problem on the Telephone. He was quiet and patient with me when I attempted to log into a bank account and they wanted verification Then I had to re-submit my request for a code. He had a lot more patience than I. I would definitely recommend this company. It was money well spent.

"I was on a roller coaster ride for 4 days of tech sessions unable to get my computer working well enough even for the technician to remote in. After the 3rd session when advised to shop for a new computer I figured my old box was done for. In a last ditch effort I pulled the plug on my computer waited 2 minutes and started it again. On this startup it worked pretty normally. The 4th tech (Mark) then only needed to do routine scan and cleanup. It was a big variation from "get a shovel and bury it" to "we just need a little tuneup." I'm happy I don't need a new computer right now although it may be in my near future. I do appreciate all of your technicians' willingness to give it another try."

My bank information automatically populated the username and password! That was not in my question at all. Technicians should stick with the customers approval on sensitive or privacy issues and information. I should have been asked if that was okay or not before he just did it. I would have had him use a different bank that I do not bank with for an example."

I have old back up data through June 2022 but I will lose 6 months of datafiles I will have to recreate as well as copy over the old back up data. There should be precautionsprotocols in place where original data is not ever lost. "At first Phillip was hard to follow and understand with his instructions. Our words got a bit "heated" as I could not see the things he was telling me to do and I kept trying to tell him but he said I wasn't listening but I was. Anyway after finally getting him on my computer then things calmed down after confronted him that he needed to watch how he was talking to me and the tone he was using. He told me I needed to listen and I said that's all I've been doing trying to follow his instructions. We toned it down and then proceeded with fixing my laptop to print. At the end it was all ok but it was a rough start. I truly did not appreciate him talking so sharply to me and his sharp tone. I've always had very nice people to work with at your company. He was nice at the end."
