Download Photos and Videos

If you have photos/videos form years ago still on your cellphone, it is time to get rid of them. With that being said, you don’t have to delete them permanently, they can just be moved elsewhere.

Downloading photos and videos will create so much more room in your smart phone’s memory. You can use a simple USB drive, or options like Google Drive, iPhoto Backup, and Zenfolio.

After everything has been downloaded and backed up, do not forget to erase them from your devices!

Update Contacts

Everyone is guilty of hoarding contacts in both your phone and computer. It is safe to say you will not need to number to your favorite restaurant in the old town you used to live in.

While you are going through these contacts, if names do not ring-a-bell they should be removed. Take this time to tidy up your list of contacts by adding more details to them so there will never again be confusion when trying to identify them.

All of this can also be said for your social media accounts. Clean up the list of people who you’re friends with on Facebook, or your followers on Instagram. Keep the clutter off your social media news feeds!

Delete Files

When you’re going through your files and taking time to sort them, you’ll notice there are a lot of things you do not need.

Your files can be images, documents, or videos. If you delete unwanted files, not only will it make it easier to find needed files, it will speed up your computer AND create more memory space!

If you do not want to delete any files, move them to a flash-drive or a program like DropBox. This is a way to save your important files while also creating more room on you device.

We know how hard it is to let go of things that have been in your life for ages. We also know that your 2005 LG “Chocolate” flip phone will never come back into style.
